He is the founder and president of the Executive Board of the Association of Acromegaly and Pituitary Disease Patients in Bosnia and Herzegovina, since 2005.

Prim.doc.dr sci. Enes Osmanović, MD. specialist in internal medicine, subspecialist in cardiology, coordinator for scientific and research work with over 25 years of work experience. He was born on January 14, 1967 in Puračić, lives in Lukavac.

He has been employed as an interventional cardiologist in the cardiology department at the “Medical Institute Bayer Special Hospital” since its establishment in 2008 until today, and in the period from 1997-2008. he worked at the PJU Dom zdravlja Lukavac. Our dr. Enes Osmanović is a doctor of medical sciences, he completed his doctoral dissertation in cooperation with his mentor, respected academician Prof. dr. Miodrag Ostojić from Belgrade.

The Federal Ministry of Health awarded him the title of “Primarius” in 2019 in recognition of his many years of successful work and special results achieved in protecting the health of the population and the development of health care in general. He was born on January 14, 1967 in Puračić. After primary and secondary school, he entered the Faculty of Medicine in Tuzla, where he graduated in January 1997. He specialized in internal medicine in 2007 before the Examination Commission of the Federal Ministry of Bosnia and Herzegovina; Subspecialized in cardiology in 2014, also before the Examination Commission of the Federal Ministry of Bosnia and Herzegovina.

He defended his master’s thesis entitled “Clinical and angiographic characteristics of coronary disease in young people” in 2012. He defended his doctoral thesis entitled “Pharmacological prophylaxis of atrial fibrillation after myocardial revascularization” before the committee of the Teaching and Scientific Council of the Faculty of Medicine of the University of Banja Luka. March 22, 2019. He has two certificates of good clinical practice for researchers (GPS-Good Clinical Practice for Investigational): 1. Basic online course of Good Clinical Practice (Essential GCP online training) passed on June 14. 2014, held at the International Academy, Faculty of Pharmacy of the Royal College of Physicians of Great Britain. 2. GCP certificate, “Pfizer”, on-line training for Good Clinical Practice for Investigational Site Staff.

In addition, dr. In 2000, Osmanović completed the first and second degree courses in informatics organized by Mercy International – USA Republic fo BiH, Plymouth Michigan USA, and he is proud of his excellent working knowledge of all Microsoft Office Package applications and application software for biostatistics: MedCalc for windows , StatsDirect, Statistical Package for Social Sciences SPSS for Windows and STATA (perpetually licensed). He is the founder and president of the Executive Board of the Association of Acromegaly and Pituitary Disease Patients in Bosnia and Herzegovina, since 2005. In the Department of “Research Methodology with Biostatistics” at the Faculty of Pharmacy, Tuzla, he worked as an assistant in the academic year 2010/2011. By decision of the Federal Ministry of Health, and at the proposal of the Special Hospital, the “Medical Institute Bayer Special Hospital” was included in the list of main mentor for medical doctor specializations in the field of INTERNAL MEDICINE, 2014.

He was also a guest lecturer at the “Spring Cardiology Workshop” organized by AMEC (Academic Medical Education Center of the Republic of Serbia, Director Prof. Dr. Miloje Tomašević, Subotica) in the period 17-20. March 2016. He also mastered the II level of the English language course organized by “Language school The West” Lukavac, Bosnia and Herzegovina. Dr. Osmanović has mastered modern diagnostics and treatment of cardiovascular diseases in many years of continuous training. He is involved in the work of the cardiology clinic and working with the on-call staff at the cardiology department. He participates in all professional meetings and all other forms of continuous education, including publishing. In his career, he particularly emphasizes international research projects as a certified coordinator-sub-researcher of several studies: ODYSSEY, ATPCI, PAH, MARINER, VERTIS.

A doctor’s typical working day consists of a morning visit, preparation and work in the angiosalam, work in the cardiology clinic and departments, work in open research projects. The interventions he most often performs are invasive cardiology procedures: coronary angiography and PCI with implantation of endovascular stents. He has mastered all the traditional techniques of examining a cardiology patient, as well as advanced methods of cardiopulmonary resuscitation, electrocardiography, including dynamic electrocardiography, and 24-hour ambulatory monitoring of systemic blood pressure. He also mastered the physical load test – ergometry, ultrasound of the heart – echocardiography, non-invasive X-ray diagnostics of cardiac diseases.

Of particular importance are the invasive cardiology procedures he routinely performs: selective catheterization of the left and right heart, ventriculography, stent procedures of all types of coronary lesions (a,b,c) and techniques for temporary implantation of electrostimulators – pacemakers. He participated in heart operations and participates in the diagnosis and treatment of postoperative complications of cardiac patients. He is a participant in numerous domestic and international professional meetings. He is a member of the Association of Cardiologists of Bosnia and Herzegovina. The first is the president of the Health Council at the level of the Municipality of Lukavac from June 5, 2018, for a term of 2 years. Prim.doc.dr sci. Enes Osmanović is married and the father of one child – Zlatan Osmanović.

His hobby is science in the field of biomedical research, biomedical statistics, and also recreational sports activities for leisure and fun: tennis, swimming, fitness, aerobic exercise of moderate intensity – running in nature.
