The examination of a patient usually results in a discussion with a doctor, consultations, and an agreement on the next steps to be taken. Sometimes the doctor may suggest additional procedures during your visit, which may require a detailed examination. If you feel that you are not ready to submit to the proposed procedures at that moment, talk to the doctor to determine a more appropriate date and time.
Blood tests or other procedures may also be suggested to you during your visit to the doctor. This could mean that you will have to stay in the hospital longer than you have planned.
When you leave the doctor's office, the medical staff at the receiving infirmary will update your health records, and then you will be able to choose an appropriate date and time for your next visit, if necessary.
